I think it should be the other way round prehaps with some limitation on how quickly directors can sell shares in their own company....

If the company goes bust the shares will be worthless....
Which means their last couple of years of bonuses and suchlike should evaporate!

Give them a minimum 3 year holding period for bonuses and all of a sudden keeping the company solvent becomes more important
