The close cousin of the 80 hour work week guy is the guy who comes into the office sick. I used to have a supervisor who did that. We would tell him that he should be at home if he’s sick, and he would say he’s fine because he took DayQuil. When we pointed he was making us sick too, he said we could also take DayQuil and come in.

I got sick fairly often at that job, once at the worst possible moment which led to my departure soon after, but that’s a story for a different time.

I’d really like to go back in time and kick his ass.
