Picked up a copy of this at a used book store. It’s an original, decently kept, and I wanted it for a few reasons.

First, I think it’s a great reminder of how even the supposed “experts” who claim they want what’s best for us can miss the mark in such a colossal way where following their lead would result in disaster.

Secondly, I think it’s an interesting case study in monetary debasement. As marked on the book, the original price was 95 cents. A new book similar to this today would likely be around $15 or $20. I bought this book used, around 50 years after it was first released, for $7, which is a 636.84% increase over it’s original price.

Our money is so broken, and we can easily fall for bad ideas which have seemingly good intentions. Our rational minds are our greatest defense against both of these ailments.
