The nosewheel is undamaged though. I think they just crumped the ass of the plane down so hard the rear landing gear couldn't take it, so they ended up landing on the engines with predictable results. That or the landing gear was non-functional for some reason.
When I first saw the picture I couldn't imagine how they'd managed it. I thought maybe some huge sidewind had caught the wing and flipped the plane but nope.
The only two possibilities here are pilot error or maintainence fuckup.
