Something that's been on my mind a lot lately that I figured I would share with my fellow Nostriches.
I think that success in improving your health has less to do with the peaks, and more about how you act in the valleys. It's really easy to be excited and motivated for a short period of time, but what I think really defines one's ability to make lasting change is how rapidly you can pick yourself up after falling down.
Every single one of us is going to have a day where something doesn't go to plan. I think it's important to see yourself honestly in those moments, be gentle with yourself, but get back on track as quickly as possible. In my own experience with weight loss, I used to have binge weeks where I would gorge myself for weeks on end (I wasn't doing #carnivore back then), today I still have slip ups, but they are never as severe as they used to be.

I think that the keeping the failure cycle short is one of the most critical elements of finding success in this domain. It's not how you act when things are all happy and fun, but how you act in the dark and lonely moments that define success. Or to use a #bitcoin analogy, money is made in bear markets.
