Wondering out loud, to no one in particular. Has there ever been a multi-millionaire (or billionaire) that told their accountants "No. I think I need to pay my fair share of taxes to help fund all of the projects my country deems important."?

Somehow I think not.

And in this thought exercise, charity donations don't count, as they are typically tax write-offs as far as those rich folks' accountants go. Yes we need those donations too, but yeah, just wondering out loud....
