We need guides/tools/libraries/examples/tutorials to transcend the thinking of what Bitcoin smart contract actually are and how they look like.
Bitcoin scripts are just a building block that enables relatively boring (for end users) things on-chain. To further the innovation and creativity we need to have good support of tools (p2p, gossip, etc.) that can easily be reused and allow the business logic to be flexible.
For example, if I want to build a decentralized betting application I have no idea where to start and what requirements do I need let alone if it's even possible to build or what potential drawbacks would the application face.
