However, things are messy enough that WordPress is no longer a stable bet. WP Engine maintains some critical plugins — is Automattic going to fork them all and bring them in house? Who is Mullenweg going to be upset with next?
My fav is Craft CMS. It’s not free, but it’s clear that WordPress has a hidden “give back” license. Only Mullenweg knows when that applies. Drupal also works, but I’d avoid Joomla.
