One of the truisms of writing or speaking opinion pieces in various venues (columns, posts, radio, etc.) is that generally you rarely hear from readers or listeners if they agree with you. Yep, you occasionally get a "good job!" email and those make you feel great, but typically you only hear from people when they disagree with you and want to tell you why. That's human nature -- if they agree they sorta nod in agreement, if they disagree they head off to the keyboard.
I had thought that my national radio segment yesterday criticizing how DOGE is dealing with Social Security would have netted me at least a few negative emails today. But so far, not a peep.
