Interestingly one clear difference between the Guardian & the Financial Time (you will already know these are my two favoured news media sources), is that while the Guardian often has stories in its print edition ahead of having them online, the FT is usually exactly the opposite - the online version of the FT is ahead of the print version.
[this is observation is based on my experience at the weekends, so it may be different during the week?]
Not sure what it tells me but notable nonetheless
