I'm no ageist, but I'm not sure I'd want any case I was involved in heard by a 90 year old Barrister? Born 33 years before racism was illegal in the UK. 40 years before it was illegal to discriminate against women. I'm not saying enshrining these things in law is any guarantee of morality, nor that people weren't capable of morality before. But you have to draw the line somewhere I suppose. What's the acceptable cut-off? Someone from the Victorian era? A Barrister from the hordes of Genghis Khan. IT WAS A DIFFERENT TIME, YOU'LL HAVE TO FORGIVE THEIR MORAL CODE, THEY'RE JUST A CHEEKY CHAPPY.
