I run it on a remote server, eg lunanode or voltage.
I used to have a private channel linked to my own node that provided the liquidity. That was clunky though so now I just have it linked to a custodial service like Blink or Strike and it works seamlessly. When I receive payments I then just transfer the sats back to my own non-custodial solution.
I then created a subdomain on my website btcpay.yourwebsite.com and point the btc server to that. BTC pay Server have a Wordpress plugin that adds BTCpay as a payment option.
I’m not that technical so it just took a bit of tinkering and persistence to get it to work. BTCPay server have some good tutorials.
With Nostr, it’s a bit of bitcoin chat room at the moment. But I’m just gonna keep posting photographs until it’s not and the community widens.
