A thing no one gets right in time-travel movies is how frustrating past daily life was even just 50 years ago. Everything was SO fucking slow when I was a kid. You waited in a 30min line to get cash from a bank teller every Friday before ATMs came out in the 80s.
The 1940s or 1800s would break me. Half of every day wasted on an endless list of dumb shit like ironing tablecloths. No instant maps of where to go, no way to reach anyone easily. Ugh.
