Protocols over people, at least in terms of money if not many other things, is far preferable to centralization, as long as the protocols are born of indelible first principles.
quoting nevent1q…l86wWhat many Muslim entrepreneurs still don’t get:
Using an ownerless protocol for their community ideas is a thousand times better than planning a platform with a Muslim owner. Why? Muslim owners are not inherently better than non-Muslim owners. They could be materialistic Muslims ("Dubai Muslims"), they could be Salafists (especially in Europe, where many have a hidden political agenda), and most importantly: they are normal people who can be corrupted or at least have to withstand corrupt political pressure—from both outside and inside.
With an ownerless protocol, none of this is an issue. Any Nostr-based project stands on much more stable ground than anything proprietary developed by individuals.
A clean project starts with proper personnel planning. First, you select the right people and responsible individuals based on the right criteria. Only then you open your code editor.
