Jesse Skinner :javascript: (nprofile…m43n) I disagree with the "it probably never will", it's growing by leaps and bounds in proficiency, it's just that unless you're neck deep in academic LLM news it's not going to be obvious because... while monumental leaps, they're not monumental in our perception (ie. even small improvements in reasoning are a huge deal, but for the people using AI most of us don't even understand that reasoning as a concept... it's just "it was stupid" and now "it's slightly less stupid" (ableist term used to represent colloquial understanding).
