Very tired of black American feminists pulling the race card when I criticise the sex work industry as a whole. Especially since illegal traffickers love preying on immigrant women, you would think they’d want to protect their own from such outcomes. In fact I’m sick of American feminists full stop many are narcissistic and reactionary. They seek to do this to deflect from accountability and weaponise current debates about racial privileges. The fact is if you are poor and white you do not have much economic privilege, you are not going to get a high paying job for being white, you are going to have to compete with everyone else. Many white women are also stuck in poverty. The sex work industry repeatedly grooms white women from abusive backgrounds. Especially those from care homes. All the white prostitutes from my area are addicts from low income backgrounds. Having white skin does not equal economic privilege. Calling out the sex work industry does not make me racist since it is NOT an exclusively black industry. There are tons of white porn stars, only fan models, sugar babies and strippers. Sick of having none nuanced conversations.
