I used to love to travel but these days, I see friends, family and random people online get so stressed out dealing with airports, airlines, lost luggage, canceled rental car reservations, dangerous heat, wildfire smoke, floods, other surprises that ruin plans, etc that when I think about a potential trip, it's hard to visualize the joy I once had visiting new places when so many seem miserable when they travel for fun. It's often easier to stay put and explore locally.
