Depends on the phone. I for sure had that problem on a Xiaomi phone, but now I have a Samsung, looked at Rethink logs and it's all good.
I would get a Pixel, but the hardware is inferior for what it costs and doesn't have an SD slot (nor 3.5mm jack, but almost none do nowadays).
Custom roms have problems when running certain apps which I rather avoid.
I simply ran Android Debloater and uninstalled everything I didn't need via adb.
