Public #libraries are the best. I have fond childhood memories of going to the library after school, finding a book to check out, and doing some homework there. (Aside: I really miss the smell of card catalogs.)

But public libraries in the US offer far more than books and public study spaces. Today I used the library's free notary services for the first time. If you haven't already, take a look at your library system's website and see all that they offer.
