re: that last boost: I am wholly unsurprised. the pervasive paranoia/conspiracy theories only flourish when you can maintain a level of suspicion and hostility towards your community at every level. it's not just hatred in politics: they hate and fear everyone around them and are ready to lash out for anything, real or perceived.
