There’s a spider on my bedroom ceiling, at an uncomfortably small delta-horizontal away from my soon-to-be-sleeping head. I know he’s a good and crucial part of a healthy ecosystem, and his presence means I’m that much less likely to have other, worse pests around. He’s not a danger to me.

And yet, I’m now trying to sleep with a spider above my head and it’s not going well.
