A Senator in my former AO just resigned from the State Senate because he got caught in a sting. It was a police detective posing as a 17yo girl on a dating site. He has now resigned and will be facing Federal charges. The media are framing this as "he was trying to have sex with a child". I would try to explain to the jelly-brained morons that 17yo is hardly a "child" but it would go absolutely nowhere. What the moralists really need is a tire iron upside the head.
