A little while ago, Spotify and a few other audio providers started hoovering up popular podcasts under exclusive details, making them available only on their own service (and therefore not a podcast, if you're old school like me).
That Spotify is now reversing this trend and making these shows available via RSS again is a huge vindication of podcasting as an open format. Even the industry's biggest players can't stop it being "wherever you get your podcasts".
