Curator of Mastodon.art fediblock :newt: (npub1wc2…4sk7) I think another somewhat good reason why this didn't happen is that a consistent 10 character identifier is way more convenient in some cases. I use a dumb phone and it would take less time to type 123-456-7890 than anon@coolserver.net.
What about 911? Am I gonna need to type help@emergency.gov?
