Nostr is important to me for personal reasons too. I was banned from Facebook and Instagram a couple of years ago. I had hundreds of photos and memories of my parents in those platforms—and both my father and mother passed away recently. I cannot get my data back from Meta for some reason. Meta is a deeply corrupt company and I’m glad protocols like nostr are corroding their centralised power
