These have been buzzing around the zinnias in the front garden recently, usually after sunset, so I thought they were moths but yesterday one was out in the daylight and I was able to get some photos. Turns out it is a #butterfly, the Long-tailed Skipper - Urbanus proteus. And rather than being black-bodied as I thought when seeing them in the twilight they have a blue-green top/back with beautiful iridescence.
