Subsidized? I cannot speak for the American government, but in my country, I had a fren whose family bought it from a private company and now they barely pay energy bills. Same with a neighbor of mine. I don't see how it being subsidized actually counters my argument, btw. We are talking about energy values, and I am also going further and arguing families should learn to build this themselves.
