So it's official: quote retoots (or QRTs) are coming soon to Mastodon. While there's no definitive timeline, it's confirmed to be on it's way.

Opinions on this clearly vary, but increased engagement in the fediverse is always a positive. I don't think I'll use it often, but glad it will be there for those who like it.

However, I will emphasize that on #mstdnca there will be absolutely ZERO tolerance for using QRTs to bully or bandwagon harass others.

Criticize ideas, not people.
