I think I’ve figured out a Pixelfed / Mastodon plan.
I’ll dig up my Pixelfed account and use it to 1:1 replace my private Instagram account (which was just photo sharing for friends and family). I can direct any friends and family that liked pretty pictures there. The app is simple to understand as an Instagram clone.
Then I’ll keep using Mastodon as I do (which is sort of micro blogging context around photos). If anyone gets curious, they can try Mastodon.
