This year, I'm celebrating four decades of playing TTRPGs. I was nine in 1984 when my cousin introduced me into Drakar & Demoner (Dragonbane's predecessor, from the Free League). I had previously played a boardgame (Drakborgen) and some choose your own adventure games, mostly the Lone Wolf by Joe Dever and Gary Chalk, but a TTRPG was something else. I was astounded.
