What is it now? I'll eat my hat if that slope is the same.
In general owning anything is good because its an asset that doesnt rust or spoil. So it conserves the value against inflation.... but so does gold. And real estate, arts, arms, antiquities and collectibles outperforms the stock market in that purpose wildly. And its harder to take gold away from a guy who says a gamer word or does a crime, than stock.
Also... The question has to be asked, why does our civilization consider the use hedging tactics against robbery as a way to get rich?
