Although I imagine, since Nintendo issues software updates (?!) for their alarm clock (https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/66379), maybe you can capture one of those?
Hope that - if it's an esp32 running Wi-Fi - that the esp32 would handle HTTPS and send data to the main chip in plaintext?
