I'm watching Marsha Fudge on MSNBC and she's completely wrong about affordable housing. The problem is NOT the zoning! It's the greed! We barely have any zoning in Nashville, developers have been razing existing homes and building 2, 3 and 4 new homes on those lots FOR YEARS. We have substantially increased our housing stock. But developers are building $800,000-$1 million homes where $300K houses used to be!
Developers build to increase their PROFIT not a city's housing!
