Wilmes et al compare the Late Pleistocene tides and tidal dissipation from ICE-6G and my (PaleoMIST) ice sheet reconstruction. They find that the tidal dissipation in my model is substantially less, even though at the Last Glacial Maximum the difference in global ice volume is not so much. The configuration and history of the ice sheets are important to the evolution of tides! #IceSheets #PaleoClimate #Tides
