I think that a lot of what I find most tiresome about the current state of things is the sheer dumbassery repeated and taken at face value. Not only, say, Trump gets to both say he's a man of the working class AND pose in his golden throne in his golden penthouse: media replicate both things without comment. And people just... accept it.
