Result of the third calorimetry test run. The exponential step response is now perfectly visible by running the heater for several hours. The calorimeter is a thermal analog of a capacitor, the first-order RC circuit gives a rather good fit. I think it might even make sense to build a real RC circuit as a hardware-in-the-loop to analyze the opamp controller's phase and gain margin. #electronics
