Locally, someone posted - "we was surprised wen we red this on the table ferst I seen this" - a Chinese restaurant had used the words A la Carte.
Others then complained that French was being used because "we are in England!"
Some replied that English is in fact a mix of many other languages, and we all use words derived from Nordic languages, Greek, Latin, Anglo-Saxon as well as French. To which the poster replied "Well, I don't! I speak English! They should write in English not French."
