Part from a 70s/80s DEC standing printer I took apart in high school:

A "strike bar" (probably not the technical term) — the metal piece behind the paper, where the dot matrix printer head impacts the (probably carbon copy) paper feed. Now covered in some goo. Weighs a few pounds.

Going in the recycling unless it's useful to someone who builds/restores old printers.
