Just noticed that Mastodon only has 970k monthly active users across 8.6k accessible #Mastodon servers.
2023 = 1.56m MAU w/ 9.8k servers
2022 = 1.8m MAU w/ 9.7k servers
No link to a 2024 report yet, but safe to assume that it follows the downward trend.
Anyway. Thought it’d be closer to 2m by now, but I guess shiny new #socialmedia toys have lured many elsewhere.
Hopefully there are plans to turn this around.
