Here from Canada. Just like last time he took office, he's fabricating some excuse out of whole cloth to slam us with tariffs to make good on his promise to his base. This time is more frustrating because it was him that signed the previous free trade agreement with Canada and Mexico and now he's using thinly veiled "emergency powers" to justify it.
Nevertheless, Canada will be fine.
Our outgoing finance minister actually suggested leveling a 100% tariffs on Teslas which I found particularly funny.
