I used to buy from the Kindle store before, and use #Calibre to break the DRM, but at some point DRM breakage mileage started to vary too much (plus I felt like paying for a book on the Kindle store didn’t really solve the problem of the financial incentives for their rent-seeking behavior).
Now I mostly use Anna’s Archive, and then I send my contributions to the writers directly. But if there was a legal DRM-free store around, I’d definitely be happier to get my content from there.
