Yup! Owning a home has lifestyle benefits that are significantly better than renting. I would hate to ask permission from a landlord every time I want to plant a tree in the backyard or create a new garden area.
I can't imagine a better use for wealth than staking out your own patch of ground to care for as you see fit.
