I love this. It is so true. I have been disgusted for most of my life at the false modesty that is demanded in American culture, and especially the way people, especially in the church, are maligned if they appear to have real self-confidence. This country was founded by people who risked their lives to leave the place of their birth to be free to be themselves. How has America allowed itself to fall for such pettiness and cowardice?
