Any clues on a PowerBook 145 where it chimes, HDD spins up and starts reading, but the screen is completely black, not even a backlight?
I already reseated the cable between the top and bottom half of the machine (before that it wouldn’t even chime, it was sold as “completely dead”)
Is there another ribbon cable that is likely to be loose? AFAICT, bad caps cause contrast issues on the screen but not a dead backlight (I could be wrong)
