Britain also helped build many countries in the Persian Gulf region. The best city in Kuwait was built by the British in the 50s. And contrary to what people think, the British helped teach the locals many things, and helped their local employees attain wealth and climb up the ladder in their careers. So it's not a black-and-white issue. They also pressured many Islamic states to end slavery. But their mishandling of #Israel / #Palestine and Wahhabism will haunt them forever.
