They apparently also basically solved human mortality, but that is not really important to the story.
Further, the Empire has Blue Guys fighting on THEIR side this time!
Also , the kids feature largely.
Other highlights include: space whales, space sea otters,space flying fish!
Also the blue space cat people can swim!
