I've always been much more of an Atari guy but I still loved both architectures for different purposes. I still have the same Amiga 500 that I've had for decades plus two more Amiga 500's, in addition to the flood of Atari machines (looooots of 8-bit and an Atari 1040STe... I clearly loved Jay Miner's designs).
Best tool for the job is still the best and both were differently great machines.
...Now the PC's in that era... those were garbage. ;)
