Our schools have been out all week as well. Having a good friend who used to be on the school board, I knew it was a foregone conclusion they wouldn't open the schools tomorrow in this below freezing weather. That friend said it wasn't cost effective to open and heat the schools for a single day. Combined with the fact that many back roads are still sheets of ice, I wasn't surprised schools are closed for tomorrow.
