It used to be possible to download raw mp3s from the older OverDrive API, which was super valuable for accessible format-shifting. My accessibility needs are faster playback speed and silence-removal to help with AuDHD. But they shut down the "legacy" OverDrive audiobook API earlier this week, so folks with accessibility needs have to find other options. I don't think it had much attention before the switchover, but I'm sure that the same folks who worked on OverDrive are looking at adversarial interoperability for accessibility in Libby now.
