2. The old cliche is that writers produce better art when they suffer. Writers today say that it’s the opposite, that we do better work when we’re happy. What do you think?
I've produced good passages recalling personal pain, channeling it into characters. Also, this rage I've been in since last November has fueled a lot of what I think is good work. But I'm not sure if one is better than the other. Maybe it's the passion inspired by either that can spark a flood of creativity.
